How do medical drugs affect our dreams?
This small diary includes scans of plants, used in pharmacology to
create medications for treating sleep disorders, fragments of
dreams, archival photographs, and collages.
My interest in plants is an important source of inspiration for me.
Flowers and plants hold a special place in culture and art, as well as
in the history of medicine and mythology. They possess multifaceted
symbolism, are often mentioned in literary works, fairy tales, and
legends, and play an important role in various forms of art — from
painting to photography. In nature, flowers and plants serve not only
as aesthetic objects but also as sources of beneficial substances
used in the production of medicinal products.
Wild plants, in particular, are of great interest, as they are on the
brink of extinction in urban environments despite their importance to
the ecosystem.
Plants open up wide opportunities for artistic interpretation and
exploration in various fields.
The project was presented at the «Waves, Streams, Fields and
Clouds» exhibition in Moscow in the form of selected pages from the
book printed on watercolor paper. The page size is 210×300 mm.
